Embark on our 2-Day Toubkal Trekking Tour through the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. This adventure promises not just stunning landscapes but also the chance to conquer Jebel Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak, standing proudly at 4,167 meters.

Day 1: From Marrakech to Imlil Valley – Your Tour Begins

Your journey starts in Marrakech, where you’ll depart for Imlil village, located at an altitude of 1,700 meters. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our dedicated team, which includes knowledgeable local guides and skilled mule drivers. After a warm welcome tea at a guesthouse, your trekking experience kicks off. Together with our guide, you’ll set out towards Toubkal Base Camp, the place where you’ll spend the night.

As you trek through the stunning landscapes, you’ll witness the charm of the Ait Mizan Valley and pass through villages like Armad. Along the way, you’ll encounter the Mausoleum of Sidi Shamharoush, perched at 2,400 meters. Here, a scenic pause awaits as you enjoy a delicious lunch. The journey continues, winding up rocky cliffs and ascending to the Tokbal Shelter at 3,207 meters, where you’ll rest for the night. It’s a trek of approximately 4 to 5 hours, with a notable ascent of 1,507 meters to Toubkal Base Camp.

Day 2: Summit Conquest and Return to Marrakech

Rise early to undertake the challenge of reaching the summit of Jebel Toukbal, the pinnacle of your adventure. The route takes you through the south crossing streams above the refuge. The path is relatively straightforward, but the altitude and terrain present some challenging sections. Yet, the views along the journey make every step worthwhile. From the summit, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic vistas spanning from the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas in the north, and even as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara.

After conquering the peak, you’ll retrace your steps back to the refuge, enjoy a well-deserved lunch, and then commence your descent towards Imlil. This day involves around 9 to 10 hours of walking, with a descent of 960 meters from the refuge to Toubkal peak.
