Mount Toubkal: Conquering North Africa’s Highest Peak

Standing tall at 4,167 meters, Mount Toubkal reigns as the highest peak in Morocco. It’s a trekking peak, meaning there’s no technical climbing involved. During the winter months, from October to May, two days of the trek involve walking with crampons and an ice axe for added security. The ascent is designed to cater to avid hikers, with non-technical sections that include easy scrambling and snow slopes.

The reward for your efforts is the awe-inspiring view from the summit. To the north, you’ll gaze upon the majestic Atlas Mountains, while to the south, the Sahara Desert unfurls. The entire horizon is adorned with the jagged summits of the High Atlas, stretching endlessly in all directions.
